The Obama administration and Democrats in general are in trouble because they are not urgently and effectively addressing the issue that most Americans want them to: the frightening economic insecurity that has put a chokehold on millions of American families.
The economy shed 36,000 jobs last month, and that was trumpeted in the press as good news. Well, after your house has burned down I suppose it’s good news that the flames may finally be flickering out. But once you realize that it will take 11 million or more new jobs to get us back to where we were when the recession began, you begin to understand that we’re not really making any headway at all.

As a blackman who came from very modest means I see this as more games by politicians; not only were some of the jobs “created” census jobs which are temporary by definition; but an additional 40 thousand were outright temporary. So you need to halve that total number of jobs created to find out how many new jobs were actually “created”……. I for one don’t understand what the new health care bill will mean to those of us who don’t have jobs and can barely afford to pay for barely anything; medicine (I’m a diabetic), gas to get from and to job interviews, food and a coat when the weather gets cold…. Lastly, I am suspicious that as part of the back room deals that were made to get this thing passed it is MANDATORY (under threat of fine) that each american must purchase this insurance from one company or the other.. I get real suspicious when the government is forcing me to buy ANYTHING…
